The Glenturret Distillery has been quietly making its mark since 1763, first noted in the purchase records of The Barony of Ochtertyre. Still nestled in its original location on the edge of Crieff, the distillery sits in a picturesque spot locals fondly call "The Hosh." This secluded, scenic setting has long been a haven for distillers—both the lawful and the not-so-lawful. Steeped in history, The Glenturret remains a timeless tribute to Scotland’s whisky-making heritage, blending tradition with the beauty of its surroundings.

At The Glenturret, we’re dedicated to bottling our single malts only when they’ve reached their full potential—when every nuance of flavour and character has been perfected. Each bottle is a testament to our passion for the intricate, hands-on craft of whisky-making. It’s the attention to detail and the care in every step that transforms each sip into a moment worth savouring. For us, it’s not just about whisky; it’s about creating a rich experience that brings whisky lovers closer to the spirit in every glass, celebrating the heart of true craftsmanship.

Since 1763, The Glenturret has been shaped by visionary owners and skilled distillers who have passed down their craft through generations. Among them, James Fairlie revived the distillery in 1957, preserving its traditional methods after decades of silence. While processes and ownership may change, the soul of The Glenturret remains in the hands of its people.

The Distiller’s Dram Edition No. 1 celebrates two of these individuals: Brian Garriock and Ian Smith, who together have over 50 years of experience, overseeing every step from barley to maturation. Their dedication is woven into every bottle, reflecting our commitment to preserving heritage while embracing evolution. At The Glenturret, we honour the past while crafting a future that stays true to our legacy, one generation at a time.
