The Glenturret Walking Routes

The Glenturret Walking Routes

At The Glenturret we are blessed by the extraordinary provenance of the land around us. We are already a popular stop in the local area for hikers and cyclists alike. As such, we would like to share two official routes for walkers that pass through The Glenturret:

  1. Easy - ‘The Glenturret Loop from Crieff’ – this route starts at Crieff Hydro and winds its way down the hill and then up again via Action Glen-Adventure Park, then into the Glenturret. This walk is great for any fitness level, with easy accessible paths. The walk is 3.37 miles long, has an elevation of 375 feet and takes approximately 1hr 31mins to walk.

  1. Intermediate - ‘Hiking Trail Loop from Crieff’ – this route starts at the top of King Street in Crieff town centre and then follows Comrie Road before turning right onto the single-track lane to The Glenturret Distillery. After a rest at The Glenturret, the route follows the backroad round the Monzie and then down to Gilmerton. After Gilmerton, you begin the ascent up to the Knock of Crieff down via Action Glen-Adventure Park and then down into Crieff town centre. This walk is classed as intermediate, so good fitness is required however paths are easily accessible. This walk is 9.16 miles long, has an elevation of 875 feet and takes approximately 4hrs 6mins to walk.
