For over 260 years, hands guided by tradition and hearts stirred by purpose have shaped our spirit, passing down not only knowledge, but reverence. From the slow turning of seasons to the patient arc of maturation, time is the silent architect of every Glenturret whisky.
For the 2025 Distillers One of One Auction, we present a singular expression that embodies this philosophy. Crafted from spirit spanning two generations of distillers - liquid drawn from four European oak sherry casks, two laid down in 1987 and two from 2005 - this whisky unites wisdom with vitality, the seasoned with the spirited. Together, they form a dialogue across time.
Its character reflects this union: the lively brightness of exotic fruits carries youthful energy, gradually embraced by the quiet authority of oak. Warming spice emerges like a guiding hand, steadying and shaping, before soft layers of sweetness and fruit settle into a graceful, lingering finish. It is both spirited and assured - the old and the young, conversing in harmony.
Whisky Makers Notes: PINEAPPLE and MANGO burst with youthful vibrancy, lifted by GINGER and WOOD SPICE. Soft MATURE OAK rests in the background. TROPICAL FRUITS carry through the palate, joined by gentle SWEET SPICES, leading to a subtle, FRUITY FINISH.
It rests within a Lalique black crystal decanter, cradled in bespoke carved wood – a dramatic sculptural Scottish elm plinth, evoking the flowing waters of the River Turret, handcrafted by Master Carver David Robinson, in a design collaboration with his son, woodworker and award-winning author, Callum Robinson. Two generations, working side by side, weaving lineage into every line and grain. Their collaboration reflects more than craft - it symbolises legacy.
The unspoken knowledge passed down from hand to hand, from father to child. Just as this whisky has come of age, shaped slowly by time, character, and care, so too does it mark a coming of age for The Glenturret itself. This is a spirit that looks ahead: expressive, confident, and emblematic of a new era for our distillery.
