Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky and World Whiskies Awards 2024

Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky and World Whiskies Awards 2024

On Thursday 7 December, many of the most recognisable names in the industry gathered at The Signet Library, from master distillers to master blenders, brand ambassadors and communicators.

We are delighted to reveal that our Project Manager and Sustainability Superstar, Lucy Armstrong, was recognised as the "Sustainability Officer of the Year".

Lucy has been leading our efforts towards a more sustainable future, and we couldn't be prouder of Lucy's work. On behalf of the distillery a huge congratulations to Lucy and the green team ⭐️

The Glenturret was also Highly Commended in the category "Craft Producer of the Year."

“The Whisky Magazine Awards is an opportunity for us to review the successes of the Scotch whisky industry over the past year, and the strong crop of entries to both the Icons of Whisky and World Whiskies Awards shows that producers are continuing to push themselves and their whiskies to new heights, in spite of ongoing challenges in the global marketplace. The awards also serve as a bellwether, highlighting movements or trends in the industry – in Scotland, the ever-more innovative methods being adopted to achieve sustainable production and distillers’ experiments with grain whisky could prove particularly interesting areas to watch.” Bethany Brown, editor of Whisky Magazine and chair of judges for the Icons of Whisky."
