The Glenturret, Scotland’s oldest working distillery, unveils Eclosion, a new limited-edition release defined by contrast, precision and quiet transformation.

Taking its name from the moment of emergence. Eclosion captures a whisky at the point where depth gives way to brightness, where structure and luminosity exist in balance.

Matured predominantly in European oak PX sherry casks, the whisky is grounded in richness and form. From this foundation, a lifted and unexpected vibrancy reveals itself: bright tropical fruit, citrus clarity, and soft vanilla sweetness, brought into harmony through careful cask composition.

This interplay is further shaped by a single American oak puncheon within the maturation, contributing a subtle radiance that lifts the whisky beyond expectation – proof that influence is not always defined by proportion, but by precision.

Bright pineapple and citrus compote rise on the nose, layered with vanilla cream and a gentle trace of ginger-spiced oak. 

The palate opens with vibrant citrus fruits, unfolding into further layers of pineapple and hints of orange oil, before soft oak emerges, lightly dusted with cinnamon. 

The finish is warming and fruit-led, carried by elegant, well-integrated oak that lingers with quiet composure.

Eclosion is about balance and restraint. It demonstrates how careful cask selection can create both depth and brightness within a single expression, without one ever overpowering the other.
