Generations of Distillers

Limited Release of 1 of 1000
Tasting Notes
Since 1763, The Glenturret’s enduring legacy has been formed by visionary owners and skilled distillers. From one generation to the next, precious knowledge and time-honoured traditions have been patiently practiced and handed down. In 1957, after decades of silence, The Glenturret was revived by James Fairlie. His ambitions to preserve the traditional methods of distilling and to grow the appreciation for Scotch whisky remain ever present. While processes and ownership may change, the soul of The Glenturret remains in the hands of its people.
The Distillers Dram Edition No.2 celebrates two of these individuals: Kenny Smith and Robert Paterson, who together have over 30 years of insightful whisky making experience. Their roles form an integral part of seamlessly overseeing the intricacies of distilling, from barley through to filling, maturation and spirit development.
The Distillers Dram Edition No.2 whisky reflects the strong partnership between Kenny and Robert. It is inspired by the important roles of both distillers as they work together, managing the creation of spirit through to its maturation and development into a single malt. The Glenturret’s Distillery Manager, Ian Renwick, has created this highly limited release to explore and celebrate the differing characteristics of each distiller and the distinctive qualities that they bring to our spirit.
At The Glenturret, we continue to honour our past, preserve our traditions and practice the hard won wisdom of our craft, one generation at a time.
