The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant awarded 5 AA Rosettes

We are delighted to share The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant has been awarded the ultimate accolade of 5 AA Rosettes, at last nights AA Awards Ceremony. A testament to our Two Michelin-starred restaurant teams exceptional culinary excellence.

Under the leadership of Executive Chef Mark Donald, The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to quality and innovation. Since joining the restaurant in 2021, Mark has led his team to success, earning a Michelin Star just seven months after his arrival and a second earlier in February this year. Now, with the awarding of 5 AA Rosettes, the restaurant has reached yet another significant milestone and remains the only multi-award-winning restaurant within a distillery.

Commenting on this achievement, Mark Donald said, "Receiving 5 AA Rosettes is a tremendous recognition for our team. It’s a reflection of the dedication and heart we pour into our work and our commitment to offering the best guest experience we can. This award is not just for us but for everyone who contributes to making The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant a culinary experience that reflects our unique location.’

Found within The Glenturret Distillery at the foothills of the Scottish Highlands, the 26-cover restaurant tells the story of the land and its surroundings through its meticulously crafted menus. The location allows the team to work directly with local growers, producers, breeders, and fishers, often incorporating foraged ingredients to create dishes that reflect the region's bounty. Drawing inspiration from the distillery's heritage, Mark seamlessly incorporates elements of the distillation process into his cuisine, creating a unique menu that celebrates Scotland's rich produce and gastronomic traditions.

To complement the menu, The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant also boasts an exceptional wine program. Guests can choose from three dedicated wine pairings, including a ‘Dynamic’ wine pairing crafted by the sommelier team, a ‘Prestige’ pairing featuring rare bottles, and a ‘Soft’ pairing with innovative infusions, juices, and barley tisanes. The restaurant's offerings are further elevated by the Lalique Bar, where guests can enjoy an à la carte lunch and/or explore a range of seven whisky-tasting flights, offering a unique opportunity to delve deeper into The Glenturret's expressions, from the ‘new make’ spirit to private archives and historic bottlings.

Guests can extend their dining experience with a gastronomic stay experience at Aberturret House, a 19th-century Dower house nestled within the woodland a moment's walk from the distillery on the banks of the River Turret. This luxurious retreat offers six elegant bedrooms accommodating up to 12 guests. Perfect for relaxation pre or post-dinner. The ‘Gastronomic Overnight Experience’ includes a country-style breakfast served in the open-plan kitchen dining room, making it an ideal extension to a memorable dining journey.
