The Glenturret, Scotland's oldest working distillery, introduces Deux Terrains, a rare 21 Years Old single malt whisky that brings together two remarkable landscapes: the Scottish Highlands and the celebrated vineyards of Bordeaux.
Limited to just 500 individually hand numbered bottles and available exclusively from theglenturret.com, Deux Terrains marks The Glenturret’s first exploration of Sauternes cask influence.
Meaning “Two Lands”, Deux Terrains reflects a meeting of place, heritage and craftsmanship. Distilled at The Glenturret and matured for more than two decades, the whisky was initially matured in sherry-seasoned oak before being introduced to casks that once held Sauternes wine from Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, Premier Grand Cru Classé of 1855.
Founded in 1618 in the heart of Bordeaux, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey today sits under the same Lalique guardianship as The Glenturret. The release celebrates a unique connection between two historic producers, each deeply rooted in its landscape and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.
The result is a whisky that balances Highland character with the subtle influence of one of France’s most revered wine regions. Shaped by time and careful maturation, it offers a distinctive expression of both origin and cask influence.

Bright pineapple opens with an elegant aromatic lift, followed by caramelised apple and gentle spice. Layers of vanilla and seasoned oak emerge alongside notes of ginger, sweet cinnamon and ripening citrus. The texture remains soft and fruit-led, carrying through to a refined finish of toasted oak.
