In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the C-Type Jaguar, we are proud to present an exclusive release limited to only 220 bottles.
A testament to precision, craftsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence.
In 1953, the Jaguar C-Type cemented its place in motorsport history by dominating the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car that introduced disc brakes to the world, finished 1st, 2nd, 4th and 9th and set a new average speed record of 105.84mph, the first time a 100mph average had ever been broken, thanks to its 220bhp engine with triple Weber carburettors and aerodynamic lightweight body.
Following The Glenturret’s previous sold-out collaboration with Jaguar Classic Cars that honoured the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type, The Glenturret C-Type whisky crafted by Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno, boasts whisky of 32 years of age minimum, selected from five casks to produce a limited release of only 220 bottles.
Oloroso sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads deliver traditional rich fruit and spices, and a single Pedro Ximenez sherry-seasoned American Oak hogshead imparts sweet vanilla and light oak.
TASTING NOTES:
Sweet GINGER with CINNAMON. Hints of TREACLE, SULTANAS, RIPENING APPLE with VANILLA and SUBTLE OAK. WOOD SPICES open followed by STICKY GINGER CAKE, DATES and RAISINS. Light traces of LIQUORICE in the background, heavier sweet aromatic notes emerge later. Medium to long finish. SWEET, FRUITY and aromatic encased in soft MATURING OAK.
